"I am a landscape painter whose images usually contain a combination of man-made and natural motifs, with rural and/or agricultural subjects comprising a significant portion of my output. My paintings are predominantly executed on hardboard panels in a wide variety of sizes. Acrylic is my medium of choice. My work is representational and is influenced by such seventeenth-century Dutch artists as Jacob van Ruisdael and Philips Koninck and well as the nineteenth-century English painters John Constable and J.M.W. Turner. The artists of the French Barbizon School are also an important underpinning. James Butler, James Winn, Keith Jacobshagen, and Wolf Kahn are just some of my contemporary influences."
