About the Artist
Born in the heartland of Indiana, Mark Davenport’s earliest imagery was of cornfield landscapes. As a child, Mark’s interests were not in art at all, and he spent formative years involved primarily in sports.
Mark’s art interests began at Indiana University in Bloomington where he studied art as well as anthropology. Eventually Mark became bored with academia and dropped out to travel the world. Having visited countless countries throughout Europe and Asia, Mark learned to make money selling arts to locals as well as tourists.
Davenport concentrates on landscapes, primarily, and works mostly with acrylic paints. However, occasionally he will paint still life’s or figurative.
