Carl Homstad has been an artist for over 30 years. His work includes color woodcut prints, oil paintings, watercolors and murals. Although many of his ideas come from the area around his home and studio in Northeast Iowa he has traveled extensively looking for ideas. Travels include a 14 day trip through the Grand Canyon, and a trip to China. He is known for his naturalistic landscapes that depict universal themes of people in nature
